Suggestions and Ideas
Girls rugby practice ‘Having dance classes for a variety of ages throughout the year, can help teach or supervise as I do a variety of dances at a dance school eg street, freestyle, disco etc.’
‘…Rugby and Football in winter months for kids’
‘All surface football, basketball and sitting area, like Hildenborough, Riding Lane. They have placed there court in an empty spot where it wont disturb any residents who live in the area, therefore it is ideal. And maybe a zip wire down in the local field like the one in Tonbridge Park, and a local football or basketball team or club. Football/Basketball tournaments. Somewhere to sit on our own.’
‘I think theatre trips would be great fun’
‘skate park and swings, slide and climbing frames, rounders, roundabout, sandpit, dance workshop.’
‘cool swimming pool, monkey bars, climbing frames, art evening, crafts.’
BBQ on the Green
A slightly windswept but pleasant evening on the Green. We had around twenty young people and teenagers come along for a chat and the chance to share ideas for the Youth in Leigh and get stuck into hotdogs and burgers. We will be looking at the ideas they gave us and reporting back. In the meantime we are planning a couple of events for the late Autumn; a playstation tournament and dance workshop, check back for details or keep an eye on village notices and the Courier local news. Thanks to all those who helped organise and run this event.
